Maple's Landing
A small cluster of commercial and residential buildings in the heart of the country. It seems that the builders were in a hurried state at the time, as most of the buildings are interestingly stacked on top of one another, sometimes even appearing charmingly lopsided.
To the western side of the town is the Inn, and a few blocks from that the marketplace, bordered by a series of small homes and townhouses. All of the town is built surrounding the Poplar River, a once proud-flowing river that provided clean water and fish to the residents. Lately it appears that the river has been dammed, and the buildings and residents are suffering for it.

Rowan Fields
A large expanse of farming land that borders the north and east portions of Maple's main town. It is a mostly flat farmland, but drops off into a cliff the further southeast it travels. In the warmer months, blueberry and raspberry bushes dot the dirt roads weaving from farm to farm, making it a popular spot for children to play and spend their summers.
In the last ten years or so, these friendly bushes have grown withered and dry, and barely yield berries. It seems the farmlands have suffered a similar fate.

Phinae's Tree
Although things hardly grow in Maple's Landing, one might be surprised to see that Phinae’s Tree is the exception. Even in winter, this tree’s leaves are a vibrant color; various fruits grow from its branches, plump and delicious.
The massive tree sits within green foothills scattered with flowers as bright as the tree itself, making it a good place to sit and relax! It's rumored that the Harvest Queen lives within the tree itself… could this be true?

Cypress Church
The church sits just on the outskirts of Castor Forest, separating the overgrown trees from the rest of the town. On top of the highest hill in the area, it overlooks the town just as the Queen once did. Just as forgotten as her now, the Church is only inhabited by the Priest and Priestess.

Castor Forest
Located North of Maple's Landing is Castor Forest. Once a popular destination for villagers, it was once easily navigable and cleared, a 'friendly' forest of sorts. Since the Queen's disappearance, however, it's grown hostile and mysterious, desolate. The life and inhabitants of the forest have all but disappeared, only allowing the overgrowth to choke everything away. No one has set foot in the forest since that day...

Catalpa Mountain
The Catalpa Mountain range is one of the most unique areas to Maple's Landing. Located west of the village, it was once an extremely active volcano, that has since died and fallen dormant.
However, past eruptions have caused the entire mountain's face to become columned in basalt: solid, stepping-stone like structures of solid, cooled rock.
The Poplar River runs from here, but since the village's slipping, no one has visited it's source. Most have forgotten where it is.

Kapok Coast
The expansive Kapok Coast stretches nearly the entire length of Maple’s Landing. Closer to the town is a more hospitable area of the beach—sand, waves, and sun; but as you walk further along the coast, you’ll begin to notice that the landscape is freckled with craggy rocks jagging into the ocean. The tide seems to always be low, and there is a constant fog that seems to loom over the coast. Maybe it has something to do with the increasing frequency of storms lately…
